Lower focus

Week 4 day 3 of my T25 challenge def still going strong. Surprises me how much more flawless the moves get the further I am into the challenge a week and a half left of alpa woot woot! Hopefully beta isn't torture 😁 

Anywho lower focus is pretty much leg day. Which means you better be prepared to work those suckers out. I'm 5'11 and my height is def all leg. So I try to kick ass on leg day. Who doesn't want toned, sexy, long legs? <insert amazon joke here> really and truly I have heard them all. #tallgirlproblems if your doing T25 keep kicking ass!

I just started week 4 of my t 25 challenge and I am loving it!!!! Never has a workout had me sweating so much in such a short time. Ready to kick the next 6 weeks in the butt!!πŸ’ͺ

So I started my t25 beachbody challenge this week and....I'm in love with it!!! I've never sweated so much in my life. Sweat is fat crying...right? 

On another note I love the meal plan it keeps me full all day and its healthy what more could a girl want...

How to Measure



You can keep track on your beach body profile!! There's no better feeling than comparing numbers! 

Personally I measure waist at the smallest part when it curves in then, belly button, then hips :)

It's important to measure because since we are adding muscle at the same time as losing fat sometimes the scale can lie. Ever stay at the same weight and wonder what the heck my jeans are loose this can't be right? Odds are you lost inches so measure, measure, measure :)

In the mean time, in between time..don't get too anxious and try to measure your results on a daily basis. Get your daily high on how great you feel, and your weekly one on how far you've come :)

Insanity

Started another round of insanity this week ahhhhhh!! Time to kill it! I smoke sometimes when I drink and cardio really reminded me how stupid that is. Anywayssss in 90 days give or take a few I will post pictures comparing me to my original before pic that I've been keeping to myself. I guess maybe posting this will help me hold myself accountable. No more cheat meals that make me feel kind not working out. 

There's this thing about me everyone doesn't know. Actually everyone and their dog probably knows...I'm a party girl! Well not this summer! I'm gonna try super duper hard not to drink my calories, which I think will help a lot!! Keeping my goal on my mind. I'm committed
to hitting it this year :)

Falling of the horse

It can happen to any of us. You skip a day, them a weekend, a week, a month. Hopefully not a whole month, but it happens. I got laid off a few weeks ago. Lay off week we went to breakfast everyday which when you work nights is more like dinner...bad idea! I gained 10 lbs back in one week. Even worse I felt like crap. When your use to eating clean and working out everyday. You realize that food you use to eat all the time kind of drags you down. Energy level goes down and you just feel kind of crappy. Anywho, after that I went on vacation for a weeks this turned into eating maybe once a day, but not a very healthy meal >.< followed up by a weekend of drinking a little too much and I was feeling pretty crappy. So what do you do when you realize you fell of the horse? You get back on!

Simple as that. Your not a failure, and even if you took a few steps back your still way ahead of where you use to be. So make a plan and stick to it! I'm starting another round of insanity today! I'm super psyched. Later.

Friends

So I hadn't posted in a while . Leave it to my friend Erica to put me on blast for that. Anyway....I was talking to one of my other friends today too who needed a little extra motivation. Moral of my story? It's good to have friends that work out and keep your ass in line too. They motivate you a pump you up when you might not feel like doing anything. Some days my bed is calling my name so much louder than the gym, but my bed isn't gonna make my clothes look good. So....Find work out buddy's :) byyyye

Shake Shake shakeology

Why I love it...
1. Gives me energy
2. Fills me up. I'm not starving 2 hours after I drink it.
3. It's easy. Breakfast is annoying and time consuming. A shake gets me out the door faster.

Idk how they get 262782916272882 fruits and veggies into it but its packs with vitamins and still tastes great!! I use to mix mine with water. Recently I started using silk and woah does it taste amazing!!

Plus there's a million recipes for it on Pinterest. Even to make cakes and stuff.

Let your haters be your motivators

In my ordeal I've been really surprised by how people have acts towards me. Some people that I don't really talk to walk up to me and give me compliments. They are encouraging, and tell me they're proud of me. While -mostly girls- that are my friends act like they don't see a difference in me at all. Oh well, it's helped me realize how many people I really don't need in my life. You know that look girls give each other when they look you up and down and can't find anything bad to say, so they make this stupid face. That look on their face is my favorite. Honestly I'm kind of in my own world most of the time. I'm pretty sure I only notice about 5% of the hate. That's the best part though. I love how I'm living my life, I love how I look, I don't need anyone's approval. I kinda hate when people act like the whole world hating on them when it's usually all I'm their mind, but haters gon hate. Whatcha gon do ;)

Real Mexican Pico recipe & taco salad kinda

First you have to make the Pico de gallo.

1. Chop-
4 Tomatoes
1/2 an onion
2 jalapeΓ±os
Cilantro

2. This is the big secret to delicious Pico. Smash the bejesus out of the veggies. The best think to use is your hand lol but you can use a potato smasher.

3. Add lime juice and smash it some more

4. Add kosher salt for a little flavor.

Pico is my go-to!! Taste great with chicken, fish, egg whites...everything!! Lots of flavor and its all veggies. Woot woot.


Now salad time

I grill my chicken on a George Forman grill with a little but of mrs dash

1. Green stuff!! I use pre washed precut mixed greens and mix that half and half with baby spinach.

2. I add about half a small avocado chopped up

3. You can use cheese if you want but i just add a few little bits of whipped cream cheese. It's about 60 cal a serving and I don't even use that much :)

4. I put fresh cilantro on top. I love cilantro lol

5. Few spoon fulls of Pico on top. No need for salad dressing the lime juice from the Pico will flavor your entire salad!!

6. Chicken on top & your done!

You can add a few crumble up to tortilla chips to it if you wanna mix it up a little

I go look at my before and afters, or find a really cute outfit I want. That's the thing about motivation it can come out of anywhere :)

Insanity Love you ...hate you




Oh Insanity a workout I love and hate all at the same time.  When I first started doing it I was overwhelmed. I did the fit test and thought 0.o how am I ever going to make it through a workout.  It sucked, It was just like it says insane. When I first started Insanity I did it for less than a week and gave up. It was hard and I was so sore even sitting down hurt. So giving up was easy. Bye Insanity, hello gym.  After a few months of going to the gym I decided to give it a second shot.  i thought I would do insanity when i woke up before work then keep my regular gym schedule.  I was wrong.  After doing insanity I went to the gym and my muscles were just to tired.  I couldn't even do half of my work out.  That just seemed counterproductive to me, and yet again I quit. A few months later I decide to try again...3rd times a charm? Hell yeah it is.  I start Insanity again, but this time even though I feel the burn I'm into it the whole time.  I don't feel like I am about to die either. woot woot!! I get through my first week and think wow! I can actually do this. Is it easy? hell no. I have gotten use to it though. I am proud to report that the sore stage went away pretty quickly this go around, and after the first week I was good to go. I'm not a beast or anything so Sunday's are my favorite because they are my day off :)  As I said before in one of my other posts I am not to the point where I want to post those pictures yet.  Though my friend Erica thinks I should, and is convinced I would win something. In my mind I have won alot already by sticking to something. I must admit I feel off the Insanity train during the holidays, but I am back on it. That is the thing, If you fall off just get back on.  No one can work out one day and lose 30 lbs.  So not working out one day isn't the worst thing you could do either.

Goals Goals Goals

I've always been the type of person that sets the bar high.  My mindset is basically set the bar high and go even higher. Well when I started this new venture I quickly realized that was just not the way to go about it.  So....I came up with a new plan.  I have an overall goal, which I don't focus on everyday. Every once in a while I take  a look back and think damn I have come pretty far :) I set more obtainable goals for myself though so I feel more accomplished.  i don't like to  toot my own horn, but every time i meet or exceed my own expectations and goals toot toot!! Last January my goal was to lose 40 lbs before my yearly vacation in June.  I lost 90. Nothing can explain the feeling I got when I was shopping for new vacation clothes. That amazing feeling every time I saw another one of my family members I hadn't seen in over a year, and they were shocked.  After that I set a new goal for myself for our Glow Run in August. It rocked btw but I think I'll save that story for another time. Then I set a goal for Halloween, and finally for my birthday in December. Basically, what I'm getting at is make your short term goals obtainable, but not easy.  Make yourself work. Then reward yourself.  My usual reward is shopping, which I have found myself doing alot especially since none of my old clothes fit anymore :) Bye

Until it clicked in my head that I was going to do this for ME it never worked. No diet, No plan, Nothing. I had to make up my mind that it was going to do this, and the only thing that could hold me back was me. Most of the time its YOU that talks yourself out of change. So don't do it. Talk yourself into changing. For you. For looking good naked, and feeling good. Anyway I don't have much to say today except that. Keep yourself in your mind Your #1. Bye

What do I eat?

What I eat has changed from when I started this to now.  When I first started I knew that I in a sense needed to shrink my stomach.  This didn't mean being hungry all the time, but it meant knowing when I really was hungry and when I was just bored.  So when I started my meal plan was easy.  A protein bar or shake for breakfast, salad for lunch, and tons of water.  No carbonated drinks...ever. I stayed away from alcohol as much as I could, but what can I say I love to party.  So I try to drink cranberry and vodka. My usual day goes like this...

Breakfast

I usually eat half a whole wheat bagel with a little bit of cream cheese, bananas, strawberries, and blue berries.  Blue berries are a negative calorie food so I try to eat as many of them as I can :)

Snack

I try to make myself eat healthy snacks that way I don't get hungry and eat other stuff. Usally it's greek yogurt which I love!! If I do get hungy I grab a few almonds and drink water. If it's later at night I usually eat a cucumber. Anyway greek yogurt isn't very sweet and it's mostly protein, but this kinda isn't bad..
Lunch
I try to do lunch later in the afternoon like start getting it together at 3.  This is mainly because I dont want to get hungry later in the evening.  I try to do 80% veggies or salad and 20% protein.  If I have really really been craving some kind of carb this is when I eat it.  You want a taco? eat one. Just eat alot of salad too :) I eat mixed greens that pretty much look like leaves because they have almost no calories, and I mix them with baby spinach because I love it plus its negative calorie also.  I don't really use salad dressing because the fat free taste like poop and the regular has way to many calories.  I love lime juice anyway so that my best friend :) In the pic above it's taco salad which is greens mixed with chicken, pico, a few crunched tortilla chips, and a few bits of cream cheese. It was orgasmic!!
I try to eat these as much as I can instead of other foods.  Plus berries and an apple every single day :)

Motivation Picture





So...When I started this some days I have to say I just didn't feel like working out. It is easy to say that you are way to busy and convince yourself that it is ok to skip today. Is it ok to skip one day? Sure. The problem is it usually leads to skipping 2 or 3 and then entire weeks. Once you fall off the horse it's alot harder to get back on and stay on.  Anyway, I have what I call my motivation picture.  I keep it hung in my closet next to my racing metals :) Which weren't there before btw.  This picture is terrible!! I want to die just thinking that at one point in my life I allowed myself to look like that.  It motivates me to never be that person again. My motivation picture is actually an old badge.  I wish I had more pictures to compare to now, but the truth in back then I stayed away from pictures and focused most of them on just my face.  At this point I am not confident enough to post that up, but stay tuned it just might find itself to this page one day. :)

My "Secret"




Ahhh where to start? Basically...I started this whole weight loss, find myself, be healthy journey last year.  If you know me personally you know I've lost a considerable amount of weight.  Which means I have people going up to me constantly asking....

What's your secret? Oh, the oh so mysterious secret I must have. Like eating 27 grapefruits in between meals, or drinking 23470437 pills.  What do people want the answer of the question to be? Simple. Easy. They want me to say go buy these magic beans and eat this magic food, along with their regular food of course. Without giving up anything. With little to no effort, and with out any exercise.  

Well sorry to burst that bubble, but here is my secret...I stopped eating all the disgustingly delicious food that I loved and hated at the same time.  I made myself workout. Is it fun? Fuck no. Well maybe a little...on the weekends.  It's worked for me and that's about all I can say. 

I guess I plan on posting my workouts and such even though I'm not a trainer.  I'm going to post food that I think is stupid delicious even though it's healthy.  I'm going to post whatever random race me and Erica decide we have to do to stay motivated.  I'll probably post a bazillion pictures. I think this will help me hold myself accountable too. Cheers!
